Using Special Characters in Kupu

To include on your Web site text special characters, such as letters with diacritical markings, perform the following steps while editing your text in the Kupu Editor:

     1.      Make sure your keyboard is in Num Lock mode.

     2.      Press the Alt key on your keyboard.

     3.      While still holding the Alt key down, enter the appropriate three-digit “decimal” code for the special character, as listed below.

     4.      Release the Alt key. The character should appear in the text area of the Kupu Editor.

Here are some of the most commonly used special characters and their corresponding three-digit codes:

Note: The shortcuts for creating characters with diacritics in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Word do not work in the Kupu Editor. You must use the procedure described above.
