Take the Plinkit Challenge!
The Oregon State Library wants YOU to take the PLINKIT CHALLENGE!
QUESTION #1:
Does your library need a website but you don't have the time or resources to build one from scratch? Or perhaps you have a fear of HTML? Then Plinkit is for you!
QUESTION #2:
Does your library have a website but it's hard to maintain? Do you think your website could be doing more for you and your patrons? To find out, answer these questions:
Does your website…
- Have an events calendar that displays
events in calendar and text format?
- Allow you to update it from any Web browser
from anywhere on the Internet?
- Provide remote access to your subscription
databases?
- Display headlines and best seller info that
is updated automatically and regularly?
- Provide RSS feeds for news and
announcements from your library?
- Have a “live” search function with
full-text indexing?
- Have a photo gallery?
- Come with free hosting and training?
If you answered “no” to four or more of these questions, then Plinkit is for you!
The Oregon State Library is currently accepting letters of interest (really, just an email) for our 2007 Plinkit schedule. If you’re interested, please contact Darci Hanning (darci.hanning@state.or.us) before the end of February to discuss a schedule for your very own intuitive, dynamic website!
